While I haven’t actually sat down to count it, Wolf Oak Acres is probably the venue where I’ve DJ’ed the most weddings so far. If not, it’s gotta be pretty close to the top! Phew! What a busy June it has been… four weddings in four weekends! July will be a bit calmer, so it’s time to catch up with the blog. The first of those four June weddings brought me back to Wolf Oak Acres, where Kimberly and Giovanni’s pondside ceremony was followed by a reception in the venue’s 8,000 square foot barn. A strong finish for my 2016 wedding season! Meghan and Matt invited friends and family to celebrate at the scenic Wolf Oak Acres in Oneida, my second wedding there this year. Although rainy weather altered the plans for my previous wedding here (in August), Meghan and Matt enjoyed a picture-perfect day. Two sound systems seamlessly covered three locations — I’ll explain how and share some of my favorite photos inside this blog post.
There’s nothing like a good summertime outdoor wedding, but the weather doesn’t always cooperate. That’s when it pays-off to have backup plans! Although rain prevented Kelly and Sal from saying “I do” outdoors at Wolf Oak Acres in Oneida, solid backup plans allowed the ceremony and reception to take place indoors without a hitch. Guests who weren’t aware of the original plans probably assumed the ceremony was going to be indoors all along. (more…)
A very close call in the weather department almost forced some major last-minute changes at Aubrey and Bill’s wedding at the beautiful Wolf Oak Acres near Oneida this past weekend. Even though the timing of the rain was “thisclose” to potentially causing some problems for the outdoor ceremony, we lucked out! The rain moved out of the way just in time for everything to stick to the original plans. (more…)
The 2015 wedding season is now officially underway… and I don’t think I could have asked for a better way to get started! Loreley and Ben hosted their wedding ceremony and reception at the beautiful, historic Oneida Community Mansion House in Oneida. It was not just the first wedding of the 2015 season, but the first where I used two separate sound systems together — thanks to the addition of a brand new sound system over the winter. (more…)
