Every wedding season, I love that I seem to get a combination of weddings at venues where I’ve been before, and some at venues which are new to me. While I’ve heard of MKJ Farm in Deansboro, I’ve never been there until Rina and Jeffrey’s wedding last weekend. What a picture-perfect place for both a ceremony and a reception! And we couldn’t have asked for better weather — clear, sunny skies and perfect temperatures. (more…)
My 2014 wedding season is underway! Last night was my first reception of the year, at the Stonebridge Golf and Country Club, southeast of Utica. Because Lindsey and John got married a few weeks earlier in Jamaica, this was their reception for their friends and family “back home” here in Central New York. Martha and Tom live in Washington, DC, but Martha grew up in New Hartford, near Utica, so they decided to come back to CNY for their wedding. The ceremony was held at a private residence, friends of Martha’s family, in a rural area north of Utica. Despite a little rain, it turned out to be a great evening! (more…)
Catching up on the first few weeks of “Wedding Season 2013,” my second wedding of the year takes me out to the Utica area, New York Mills to be exact. Sabrina and James held their reception at Twin Ponds Golf and Country Club. Although it was cold and rainy outside, the weather was of little concern inside as we partied the evening away! (more…)
Erica and Kregg picked a wonderful mid-May day to get married. The start of my 2013 Wedding Season took me to a familiar venue — The Beeches Conference Center and Restaurant in Rome.
