It may have only happened once before, if ever: three wedding DJ bookings at the same venue in the same year! Theresa and Eric's wedding brought me to Wolf Oak Acres in Oneida for the third time in 2018, but things were a little different this time around. Find out why, see their song choices and check out the photos in today's blog post!
When I was at Wolf Oak Acres in June and August, the timelines started with an outdoor ceremony, then everyone moved indoors for the reception. For Theresa and Eric's wedding, things were a little simpler: they didn't want to take any chances with the September weather, so they planned to have the ceremony indoors from the beginning.
The upper level of the barn at Wolf Oak Acres is the default "backup option" when bad weather nixes outdoor cermony plans. But as you can see in the photo at right, the chapel-like appearance suits it just as well to serve as a primary ceremony option. And this is only about half the floor space -- the rest of the upper level, outside of the photo to the right -- offers plenty of floor space for cocktail hour, as it has for every wedding DJ booking I've had here.
Planning to hold the ceremony indoors from the start also eliminated the need for a tent, as all outdoor events require overhead protection rain or shine.
Aside from that, the rest of the evening ran similar to my other Wolf Oak Acres wedding DJ bookings: guests were directed to the lower level shortly before wedding party introductions. Having my second sound system downstairs provides a seamless transition without any down time.
From there, we went into the first dance, the bride/father dance and toasts before enjoying a buffet dinner catered by Syracuse's Limp Lizard BBQ.

Photo Album Highlights
Here are some of the photos I snapped...kudos to marys4everflowers in Vernon for the decor throughout the barn, especially the stunning floral display on the sweetheart table. I also learned it was Mary's company that provided the "Mirror Me" photo booth for this wedding and one of my previous weddings at Wolf Oak Acres this year! As usual, here's just a sample -- the full album's on Facebook. Scroll down to the bottom for a direct link.
