One of the biggest events at F-M High School is the annual Dance Marathon to raise money for Camp Good Days and Special Times. As a parent of two (and soon to be three) kids in the F-M school district, it was an honor to be asked and a pleasure to donate my time to spin the tunes for the 2022 event! The thrill was even bigger when the final dollar total was announced…

Kate and Brendan are an amazing couple and put together a wonderful wedding at one of Syracuse’s newest venues, SKY Armory.  Although I’ve heard plenty of buzz about the venue since it opened, this was my first opportunity to visit SKY Armory in person, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect.  I’m pleased to say the staff was awesome to work with and the entire experience was a great success.  Check out the post for photos and some great ideas you can “borrow” for your own wedding. After a few weddings followed by some time traveling with family, it was exciting to resume the 2016 wedding season with Clare and James at the Cross Lake Inn and Marina in Cato. We couldn’t have asked for better weather for a reception that featured the bride, groom and the entire wedding party arriving by boat! Even after years in the DJ business, Laura and Daniel’s wedding day managed to present some exciting “firsts” for me.  Although I’ve often DJ’ed a reception/ceremony combo, this was the first time I did them at two separate venues.  There was also an exciting “first” during the ceremony, and as well as the debut of something new for the reception that I’ll be offering for future events.  Keep reading for details and photos! Plenty of fun and lots of great photos to share from my latest wedding!  Emily and Adam got married and hosted their reception at the DoubleTree Hotel in East Syracuse, just off Carrier Circle.  The couple welcomed their first child earlier this year, and his presence made for quite the adorable wedding ceremony.  Afterwards, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour followed by dinner and a very active dance floor! A very close call in the weather department almost forced some major last-minute changes at Aubrey and Bill’s wedding at the beautiful Wolf Oak Acres near Oneida this past weekend.  Even though the timing of the rain was “thisclose” to potentially causing some problems for the outdoor ceremony, we lucked out! The rain moved out of the way just in time for everything to stick to the original plans. (more…)

No matter which way you get to Cazenovia, you’ll enjoy a scenic ride. If you’re coming from the west, your drive concludes with a glimpse of the serene lake which shares its name with the village. Nestled in along the lake shore is the Cazenovia Tennis Club, where Jacky and Stephen invited family and friends to celebrate their marriage. The food was great, the bar was hopping and a variety of tunes attracted guests of all ages to the dance floor throughout the night. (more…)

Malika and Sergio live in New York City, but wanted to return to Cornell University in Ithaca to celebrate their wedding. Due to the distance, we never had a chance to meet in-person prior to the big day… but that wasn’t a problem, as we were able to handle all of the planning through a couple of phone calls and a series of emails.  But there was one little twist when I arrived at the Park Atrium inside Cornell’s Statler Hall.  I’ll tell you what happened in this blog post… and of course, I’ll recap the music and share some photos, too! My decision to add a second sound system to my arsenal of equipment last winter helped me push the envelope at Sara and Bill’s wedding ceremony and reception at Traditions at the Links in East Syracuse.  Although I’ve already had some ceremony/reception combos where I used both systems to provide sound in two places, this was the first time I needed to provide sound in three different areas at the same venue.  In this post, I’ll explain how it all worked, and of course, you’ll see plenty of photos of the bride, the groom and their guests having fun on the dance floor! Though I’ve played weddings in Auburn a few times before, this was my first visit to the Hilton Garden Inn.  Jessica and Richard picked an excellent location for their reception!  I was impressed with this relatively-new (just a few years old) venue, especially for the spacious ballroom and the adjacent spaces which also played a role in the evening’s festivities.  I was equally, if not more impressed with the bride and groom’s dance moves… you’ll see in the pictures!
