Wedding DJ Uplighting

Even though I’ve done a few weddings at Turning Stone Casino before, this was my first at the resort’s Shenandoah Clubhouse, which is an entirely separate building from the main casino complex. The elegant building overlooking the golf course was a perfect backdrop for Natalie and Benjamin’s big day!

My 2023 wedding season is underway! After the relatively mild winter we had, I don’t think anyone was expecting waves of lake effect snow on Rachael and Jeffrey’s mid-March wedding day. But if there’s one place to watch the snow, it’s from the huge windows of the Grand Ballroom on the 10th floor of the Marriott Syracuse Downtown!

My 2022 wedding season wrapped up with a return to a familiar venue, the Sherwood Inn, located in Skaneateles, across the street from the lake that bears the same name as the village. Although I’ve performed a handful of wedding receptions at the Sherwood Inn, this was my first couple who also held their ceremony on the property. Details inside this blog post!

Daniluk Farm and Stables is — as the name implies — primarily a farm that also provides stabling and other equestrian services. It’s usually not a wedding venue, but when it’s the owners who are getting married, exceptions can be made! Another unforgettable celebration is in the books! Denise and Tom hired me to be their wedding DJ at The Eis House in Mexico, about 40 minutes north of Syracuse. This was a two-setup wedding, with an outdoor ceremony followed by an indoor reception. Check out the song selections and what made this wedding unique in today’s blog post!

Springside Farm in Pompey was the perfect venue for Sherri and Brian’s intimate wedding reception. You might know this farm along Route 91 for family fun in the fall and Christmas trees in the winter. But during the summer, the barn serves as a spacious rustic venue surrounded by fields of green.

My first wedding DJ committment for 2022 was also my first ever at the Sinclair of Skaneateles. Although the wedding didn’t cooperate with Sarah and Ryan’s plans to get married outside, we all pivoted smoothly to “plan B” indoors and had a wonderful evening! My final wedding of 2021 was originally supposed to be my first — but the pandemic forced Ashley and Michael to postpone their celebration twice! I was so happy for them, when the third time was the charm at Canastota’s historic and stunning Greystone Castle. Details and photos in today’s blog post.

Seeing that headline, you might wonder, “Wait, they do weddings at the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que? The place is always packed on weekends! Despite 2021 being a somewhat “abbreviated” wedding season, I managed to DJ at one venue twice: Traditions at the Links in East Syracuse!
