Another unforgettable celebration is in the books! Denise and Tom hired me to be their wedding DJ at The Eis House in Mexico, about 40 minutes north of Syracuse. This was a two-setup wedding, with an outdoor ceremony followed by an indoor reception. Check out the song selections and what made this wedding unique in today’s blog post!
Located alongside the Little Salmon River, the Eis House (pronounced like “ice”) offers a beautiful outdoor ceremony area overlooking the water. There was nice spot to the side where I was able to set-up my 10×10′ canopy tent (to protect the equipment from the sun). It was close enough to cover the action so everyone could hear every word of the ceremony, but far enough over to the side that it would not be making any unwanted cameos in the professional ceremony photos shot by Kat & Corey.
The Eis House has a unique layout that required a unique setup. For example, my dance floor lights usually run from a steel truss over my DJ table. But due to the layout, that wouldn’t be possible… but I was able to improvise a great solution — I set up the lights on the second floor of the ballroom, at a spot directly overlooking the dance floor. It was a little unusual and I feared it might not look that great, but once the dancing got going, it looked awesome!
The wall behind the sweetheart table has mirrors covered by some lacy curtains – the mirrors really made the uplights stand out, with Denise and Tom’s selection of cyan and magenta looking sharp. And we had a huge laugh at the conclusion of the “Anniversary Contest” but we’ll just say it wasn’t necessarily “G-rated” so I’ll just leave that story for everyone who was there!
As always, this is just a select handful of my photos — I have even more photos of Denise and Tom’s Eis House wedding reception on Facebook! Scroll down for a direct link to the album.

Of course, I’m the DJ, not the photographer — although I try to focus on my end of things, the professional duo of Kat & Corey have much more, including this great Instagram reel from the staged sparkler exit earlier in the reception:
Thanks again to Denise and Tom for selecting me as your wedding DJ! It was great to meet you and your families, and also a pleasure working with the Eis House!
