Fall is a great season to host a wedding in Central New York… it’s not too hot, it’s not too cold, and the changing colors of the leaves make for a spectacular backdrop. The only unknown is the weather, but that wasn’t a problem for Melissa and Ryan. A few clouds were no problem at all, on a beautiful wedding day that was sandwiched between two rainy days. (more…)
April and Brendan selected the first day of fall, September 22, 2012, to be the first day of their marriage. And what a great day, with fall-themed decor inside the Holiday Inn… in the heart of Ithaca, where the leaves were just starting to change color around the city’s famous picturesque gorges and Cayuga Lake. Peter Naughton Productions is on the road! A request to play Meghan and Marc’s wedding reception took us on a road trip from Syracuse, downstate to the mid-Hudson Valley. If you’ve been browsing my event photo posts, the first few shots from Rob and Shannon’s wedding might look familiar — I was the DJ for another wedding at Borio’s Restaurant along Oneida Lake in Cicero just two weeks earlier. This is the first of two weddings I’m playing at Borio’s Lakeside in Cicero this month alone. What a beautiful venue! Right on the shore of Oneida Lake… and a wonderful day. Originally, the forecast had called for a chance of rain, but we lucked out with sunny skies and comfortable temperatures for an outdoor ceremony, followed by an indoor reception. (more…)
Another wonderful wedding to cap off the “unofficial” end to summer 2011. Zach and Alyssa got married over Labor Day weekend, and their reception at Orchard Vali Golf Club in LaFayette was a blast. Their guests love to dance — keeping the floor filled right up to the end at 11:30pm. The crowd was so enthusiastic, we actually went a few minutes past with an extra encore song. (more…)

Had a great time helping Dawn and Joseph celebrate their wedding at The Otesaga Resort in Cooperstown! I haven’t been to Cooperstown since 1996… while I remember driving past The Otesaga then, I’ve never actually been inside. Beautiful location, right on the lake. This reception was unique in that we had two different set-ups: one for the cocktail hour outside on the veranda, then we had to move indoors for the reception. (more…)
