Shelby and Rich’s wedding was a nice change of pace from “the usual,” as they hosted their wedding at their home in the Town of Onondaga, just west of Syracuse. Requests from the Binghamton area don’t come my way too often, but Olivia and Ani’s wedding was the first of two bookings I have this year in the Southern Tier. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer day for a wonderful lakeside wedding ceremony! Brionna and Michael tied the knot at Emerson Park in Auburn, at the north end of Owasco Lake. And after the ceremony everyone headed into the park’s historic pavilion for the reception. Even though I’ve done a few weddings at Turning Stone Casino before, this was my first at the resort’s Shenandoah Clubhouse, which is an entirely separate building from the main casino complex. The elegant building overlooking the golf course was a perfect backdrop for Natalie and Benjamin’s big day!

My 2023 wedding season is underway! After the relatively mild winter we had, I don’t think anyone was expecting waves of lake effect snow on Rachael and Jeffrey’s mid-March wedding day. But if there’s one place to watch the snow, it’s from the huge windows of the Grand Ballroom on the 10th floor of the Marriott Syracuse Downtown!

My 2022 wedding season wrapped up with a return to a familiar venue, the Sherwood Inn, located in Skaneateles, across the street from the lake that bears the same name as the village.
