Hello, blog readers! It's been awhile, hasn't it? It's been a very busy wedding season -- not that I'm complaining! But I'm glad I'm finally catching up on some blogging. Back on the first of June, I had the pleasure of playing Dana and Stephen's wedding reception at the beautiful Sherwood Inn on Skaneateles Lake. It was a great day -- made all the more memorable by a special surprise guest.
The bride and groom both graduated from Syracuse University... so it made perfect sense for them to come back to the 'Cuse for their wedding. They got married at Hendricks Chapel on campus, and brought everyone out to Skaneateles for the reception. It was a thrill for the guests to see -- and for me to announce -- the arrival of a special guest in the wedding party: none other than Syracuse University's famous mascot, Otto the Orange! Otto was there for most of the night, posing for photos and dancing with the crowd.

Here are some shots from the evening:
What a great crowd! (I felt bad when it was time to send everyone out to their shuttle buses... but it's a long walk from Skaneateles back to Syracuse!) And the venue was awesome, too! Nadine and her catering staff were very professional. They were continually asking me if I needed water or anything else, probably just as often as they were checking on the guests. The food was excellent, and the property is extremely well-maintained. Would definitely recommend -- as I'd love to come back and DJ here again sometime!
Also thanks again to Dana and Stephen for sharing some photos provided by photographer Bridget Russo. (I offered to link to her website, but I'm told she does not normally work as a wedding photographer, so there's no website to share.)
