You can tell wedding season is getting busy when I start to fall behind on my blogging! In what seems like just the blink of an eye, it's already been nearly two weeks since Stephanie and Joshua tied the knot at The Beeches in Rome. Although I've played receptions at The Beeches in the past, this was the first time I've worked with a couple who also had their ceremony on-site.
The ceremony took place on the beautfully-landscaped courtyard off the building's northwest side. Afterward, guests headed to the lower level banquet room for cocktails, while the newlyweds amd their photographers made a quick run to the historic Rome train station for some photos. When they returned, we got things going with introductions, toasts, dinner and dancing!
Here are the songs Stephanie and Joshua selected for the key moments of the day:
- Ceremony Bridal Entrance: Pachelbel / Canon in D
- First Dance: Thomas Rhett / Die a Happy Man
- Bride / Father Dance: Al Martino / Daddy's Little Girl
- Groom / Mother Dance: Natalie Cole and Nat King Cole / Unforgettable
- Cake Cutting: Uncle Kracker / Smile
- Bouquet Toss: Beyonce / Single Ladies
And now, some photos! Due to some last-minute set-up changes, I didn't have a chance to get any shots during the ceremony, but you'll see the reception was lots of fun!

For more photos, including the ceremony, check out Auntie El's Video and Photography from Canastota. Their three-man crew included one gentleman who spent time during dinner to quickly review the day's earlier photos so they could be loaded onto a large TV display in the banquet hall. Guests were very impressed to be able to get a glimpse at some of the best photos from the ceremony and the post-ceremony shoot, right there during the reception. As of this writing, nothing from Stephanie and Joshua's wedding on their website or Facebook pages yet, but I am guessing they'll be up soon.
Thanks again to Stephanie and Joshua for selecting me as your wedding DJ! Thanks also to the wonderful staff at The Beeches for always being so courteous and helpful! Always enjoy doing weddings there and hope to be back soon.
