Wedding: Ashley and Edward at Lincklaen House, Cazenovia, 7/22/17

Ashley and Edward's wedding day brought me and nearly 100 of their closest friends to the historic Lincklaen House in Cazenovia.  So far, every wedding I've done at the Lincklaen House has included both the ceremony and the reception.  Ashley and Edward's did as well, but it was somewhat different from the others.  I'll tell you how -- and I'll share some photos and other highlights in this blog post.

The other two times I've DJ'ed at the Lincklaen House, the ceremonies were off-site, about 5 miles away.  Providing sound at two different venues required significant additional planning and legwork to make sure everything ran smoothly.  (And thankfully, it did!)  This time around, everything took place right at the Lincklaen House.

Ashley and Edward got married on the courtyard, the reception took place inside, and the afterparty was one flight down at the Seven Stone Steps.  I certainly enjoyed the previous two weddings, but it was nice to have everything right at one location this time around.

There was still plenty to keep me busy, though!  Two sound systems ensured there was always music available, as the festivities moved from one part of the venue to the next.  One system was set-up just inside the doorway leading out to the courtyard.  Being inside paid-off, as there was a brief shower near the end of the ceremony.  (Rain on your wedding day is good luck, right?)

Once the ceremony ended, cocktail hour music started on the other sound system, in the hotel's lobby.   As guests mingled and queued up for the bar, I moved the ceremony system into the dining room for toasts and dinner.  After the meal, the lobby system started up again to bring guests through the rest of the night -- including some overtime!  We kept the party going as late as hotel policy would allow, before sending everyone downstairs for the afterparty.

Thank you very much to Ashley and Edward for choosing me as your wedding DJ!  I really enjoyed being a part of your special day.  I also want to thank the Lincklaen House crew for being so nice and accommodating.  Good cooperation and a positive attitude between vendors always helps everything run smoother for the entire event.
