The 2024 wedding season is underway! Lisa and Mike's wedding had the distinction of serving as my "season 13 premiere," at the venue where I've done more weddings than any other: the historic Lincklaen House in Cazenovia. Keep reading for song choices, photos and more.
If my count is right, this is my 147th wedding overall, and my 8th at the Lincklaen. My previous wedding here was 9 months ago, but it may as well have been just 9 days ago -- the staff there is so great to work with, I know I can just walk in and start setting up, no issues, no problems.
If you happen to check out my other Lincklaen House weddings, you'll notice that this venue is unique in that there are several different ways to stage a wedding. The ceremony could be outdoors in their courtyard, or indoors in the dining room. For Mike and Lisa's wedding, the ceremony was indoors, in the dining room. During cocktail hour, everyone is moved out to the lobby so the dining room can be "flipped" for dinner.

Like some of my previous Lincklaen House weddings, I set-up two separate sound systems -- one in the dining room and one in the lobby, which doubles as the dance floor. But during Mike and Lisa's wedding, I tested out the feasibility of using a single sound system (in the lobby) to feed my new wireless speakers in the dining room. It worked! This will reduce my "floor footprint" at future weddings here.
