My 2026 wedding season is underway! It started a bit later than usual, but it’ll also end a bit later than usual. And it started at the venue where I’ve done more weddings than any other throughout my career: the historic Lincklaen House in Cazenovia. Song picks, photos, the bride’s review and more in this post!
Similar to some of my previous Lincklaen House weddings, the day started with the ceremony in the main dining room. Rather than having a processional song followed by the bride’s entrance song, Gia and Jordan chose a (tongue-in-cheek) groom entrance song followed by an instrumental for everyone else, including the bride. You’ll see those picks later in the post.
For the techie side of things, my plan is similar to my last couple of Lincklaen House weddings. My main system was in the lobby, which serves as the dance floor. In addition to two wired speakers there, I set-up two wireless speakers in the dining room so everyone could hear every word of the ceremony… and to provide music when everyone returned to the space for dinner.

To open the dance floor, Gia and Jordan requested the “Anniversary Contest” game. You’ve probably seen this at other weddings, but in case you haven’t… we invite all married couples to the floor for a slow dance.
After the song plays for a bit, I’ll start announcing every few seconds, something along the lines of, “Anyone married less than X, please step aside.”
As you might guess, “X” begins at “less than a day” and eventually becomes 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, and so forth. We keep eliminating couples until we get down to the one couple who has been married the longest.
The winners were married for over 55 years! When you know you’ll have a couple who has been married for a very long time, this game is always a great way to put everyone in a good mood for the rest of the night.
This was a very spirited crowd! During certain songs, you could literally feel the floor shaking as guests jumped in rhythm with the beats.

Before we get to the rest of the photos, here’s the 5-star review Gianna posted on a few different sites after the wedding:
Peter was SO organized, from the very first meeting we knew he would keep us on track. His communication and pricing is crystal clear. He’s so easy to work with and you can tell he really knows what he’s talking about. He’s truly there to do what he can to make your day go smoothly and beautifully, and he is successful in that. Our dancefloor was packed all night long, including some karaoke and an impromptu sing along. Everything was perfect. We highly recommend the uplighting and pre-ceremony music, it sets the vibe for the evening and was 100% worth it. If we had to do it all again, my first choice would be hiring Peter. Thank you for orchestrating such a beautiful evening for us!!!

Thanks again to Gianna and Jordan for choosing me as your wedding DJ! I’m glad you were so happy with my services… and I was glad to be a part of your big day! This wedding was an awesome way to kick off my 16th season. Wish you both all the best for many years of love and happiness!
