Back to blogging — finally!  It’s been a busy summer.  For this wedding, it’s a road trip southeast of Syracuse to the charming village of Hamilton, in Madison County.  Actually, I didn’t even see the village for Nicole and Paul’s wedding reception — for this wonderful late June evening, friends and family converged on the White Eagle Conference Center, a few miles outside of the village.  And you’ll see in this post, this wedding reception was unique in more ways than one. Hello, blog readers! It’s been awhile, hasn’t it? It’s been a very busy wedding season — not that I’m complaining! But I’m glad I’m finally catching up on some blogging. Back on the first of June, I had the pleasure of playing Dana and Stephen’s wedding reception at the beautiful Sherwood Inn on Skaneateles Lake. Catching up on the first few weeks of “Wedding Season 2013,” my second wedding of the year takes me out to the Utica area, New York Mills to be exact.  Sabrina and James held their reception at Twin Ponds Golf and Country Club.  Although it was cold and rainy outside, the weather was of little concern inside as we partied the evening away! Erica and Kregg picked a wonderful mid-May day to get married. The start of my 2013 Wedding Season took me to a familiar venue — The Beeches Conference Center and Restaurant in Rome. The reception was excellent: a great group of guests, plenty of dancing, even one or two sing-alongs! I’ve got more than 20 photos to share. (more…)

The rolling hills between Ithaca and Elmira… fall colors in the distance… a perfect backdrop for an amazing outdoor ceremony and indoor reception for Marjorie and Gretchen! Rain earlier in the day almost forced everything indoors, but the ceremony’s late-afternoon start provided perfect timing for the sunshine to dry everything out enough to stay with the original plans. Fall is a great season to host a wedding in Central New York… it’s not too hot, it’s not too cold, and the changing colors of the leaves make for a spectacular backdrop. The only unknown is the weather, but that wasn’t a problem for Melissa and Ryan. A few clouds were no problem at all, on a beautiful wedding day that was sandwiched between two rainy days. (more…)

April and Brendan selected the first day of fall, September 22, 2012, to be the first day of their marriage.  And what a great day, with fall-themed decor inside the Holiday Inn… in the heart of Ithaca, where the leaves were just starting to change color around the city’s famous picturesque gorges and Cayuga Lake. Peter Naughton Productions is on the road!  A request to play Meghan and Marc’s wedding reception took us on a road trip from Syracuse, downstate to the mid-Hudson Valley.  You couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful weekend to have a wedding — plenty of sunshine during the day and plenty of dancing into the night! Having known Rob since high school, I was thrilled and honored when he and Bridget contacted me to DJ their reception. They’re an awesome couple with great families and friends… and it was a blast to return to my old hometown, as the reception was held at The Beeches in Rome. (more…)

If you’ve been browsing my event photo posts, the first few shots from Rob and Shannon’s wedding might look familiar — I was the DJ for another wedding at Borio’s Restaurant along Oneida Lake in Cicero just two weeks earlier.  Once again, we were lucky to have perfect weather conditions for the ceremony outside, followed by a great party inside.
