Throughout my wedding DJ career, I've kept a list of "unofficial records" in my head.  Earliest and latest wedding dates. (January 14th and December 28th, if you're wondering.) Longest drive (east of Binghamton). Things like that.  Bethany and Brian's wedding at Highland Forest park's Skyline Lodge probably sets the record for earliest wedding to date.  I arrived shortly after 9:00am to set-up for a 10:30 start.  The setup was a little different than my previous weddings here -- find out why in today's blog post!

Growing up in Rome and starting my broadcasting career in Utica, I've heard about Beardslee Castle many times, but never had a chance to visit.  That changed this year, thanks to Megan and Jimmy booking me as their wedding DJ!  They picked a beautiful fall day to get married on the castle's front lawn, followed by dinner and dancing inside.

One venue getting a lot of buzz recently is the Tailwater Lodge in Altmar, which opened just a few years ago. Located along the Salmon River, it's a favorite spot for anglers, but it's also a well-appointed venue for weddings.  Emily and Nicholas' wedding was not only my first wedding ever at this venue, but my first of two booked for 2018.  Check out photos and more in today's blog post!

A brisk fall day on the farm provided the setting for Amber and Nate's wedding day.  The newlyweds and their guests will have memories for years to come, between the dance floor, the tag-team toast and Boris the Trebuchet's pumpkin launching abilities!  Details, photos, song choices and more from Our Farm are in today's blog post.

It may have only happened once before, if ever: three wedding DJ bookings at the same venue in the same year!  Theresa and Eric's wedding brought me to Wolf Oak Acres in Oneida for the third time in 2018, but things were a little different this time around.  Find out why, see their song choices and check out the photos in today's blog post!

Every wedding is unique in some way, but Rachel and Kevin's wedding was especially unique. Their ceremony and reception took place atop a hill overlooking her parents' farm. Hosting a wedding at a private residence is a massive undertaking, but Rachel and Kevin made it look so easy! I've got details, photos, song selections and more in today's blog post.

Nearly a decade into the wedding DJ business... and I'm still discovering new venues across the region!  Christina and Philipp's wedding reception took me down through Cortland and west to Groton, home of The Benn Conger Inn.  And what an awesome crowd!  The party went strong from 4:30 to midnight and lots of people stuck around for the afterparty.  Check out this blog post for details, photos and song ideas!

While I haven't actually sat down to count it, Wolf Oak Acres is probably the venue where I've DJ'ed the most weddings so far.  If not, it's gotta be pretty close to the top!  Tiffany and Matt were my second out of three 2018 weddings at this Madison County venue, just a few miles outside of Oneida. Had a great time helping Kara and Jordan celebrate their wedding at downtown Syracuse's SKY Armory this past weekend.  The entire event took place right there -- starting with the ceremony on the ground floor, then the reception on the third floor.  An awesome party crowd of relatives and friends kept the dance floor hopping all night!

A few posts ago, I mentioned how I've never been asked to DJ a wedding anniversary party until this year.  Well, not only have I been asked -- I was asked twice!  Richard and Christine's wedding anniversary party took place at the Logan Ridge Estates in Hector, overlooking beautiful Seneca Lake.
