Every event that I play has something “memorable” that sets it apart from the rest. Emily and Zeb’s wedding and reception had plenty of different elements that make it stick out in my memory. From the first time I met them, I could tell they were meant for each other… and it was no surprise that their families and friends went above and beyond to help make their wedding day an incredible experience. Well, it happened last year and it happened again this year — I got to a point in the wedding season where things just so busy, my blogging had to take a back seat for awhile. When time gets crunched, preparing for upcoming events takes priority over blogging previous events, but I haven’t forgotten! My 2014 wedding season is underway! Last night was my first reception of the year, at the Stonebridge Golf and Country Club, southeast of Utica. Because Lindsey and John got married a few weeks earlier in Jamaica, this was their reception for their friends and family “back home” here in Central New York. Back to blogging — finally! It’s been a busy summer. For this wedding, it’s a road trip southeast of Syracuse to the charming village of Hamilton, in Madison County. Actually, I didn’t even see the village for Nicole and Paul’s wedding reception — for this wonderful late June evening, friends and family converged on the White Eagle Conference Center, a few miles outside of the village. And you’ll see in this post, this wedding reception was unique in more ways than one. (more…)
A wedding celebration after the actual wedding day: Jennifer and Dan chose to have a small, intimate wedding on the beach in North Carolina in May. To celebrate with extended family and friends “back home” in Syracuse, the couple held an informal reception at Barbagallo’s Restaurant in East Syracuse in June. (more…)
Now that winter is (hopefully) finished, my calendar is pretty busy over the next several weeks! Following the success of an open house in December, I was honored to be asked back to the Children’s Consortium in Syracuse to DJ their Family Fun Fair. Although it was chilly for late April, it was sunny and dry, and we had plenty of fun! (more…)
