Yasmine and Michael’s wedding brought me to another “new to me” venue, Yawger Brook Banquets and Catering, located just a few miles west of Auburn. I’ve got photos, song choices and more in today’s blog post!
One thing I’ve always liked about Central New York is that you never have to travel too far from any city to get “out to the country.” (By comparison, many large cities are surrounded by miles and miles of suburbs and it can easily take 2 or 3 hours to find a rural area.)
Yawger Brook Catering is only about 10 minutes from the center of Auburn… just a few minutes past the Finger Lakes Mall, a short drive down couple of back roads, and you’re there! The venue has been in business since 1989, offering indoor and outdoor areas, but for Yasmine and Michael’s reception, everything was indoors.
Here are some the shots I took during the reception. Full disclosure: for the photo of my DJ setup, only the two speakers in the front are mine. The two other speakers (lower and to the back) and the three lights mounted to the ceiling belong to the venue and were already in place when I arrived, but they were not used by me.
