Even though I’ve been doing weddings for quite some time now, it’s always neat to add new venues to the list of places where I’ve performed. The Emerson Park Pavilion, along the shore of Owasco Lake in Auburn, provided a historic and classy location for Leanna and Peter Underwood’s wedding ceremony and reception. And although the skies looked questionable, we were very lucky that the weather cooperated just long enough for the ceremony to take place outdoors as planned. (more…)

For the second year in a row, the final weekend of September finds me at one of the beautiful facilities operated by Onondaga County Parks. Last year, it was Pratt’s Falls — this year, I had the pleasure of DJ’ing Ashleigh and Sean’s wedding ceremony and reception at Arrowhead Lodge, part of Oneida Shores Park in Brewerton. (more…)

Jessica and Gary’s wedding reception at the beautiful Genesee Grande Ballroom inside the Collegian Hotel and Suites in downtown Syracuse was a blast! The evening was packed full of memories that friends and family — including some who traveled thousands of miles from South America — will enjoy for years to come. (more…)

Before this summer, I hadn’t been to Hamilton in several years — but Allison and Jason’s reception at the Colgate Inn provided me the chance to visit this charming village twice in the same summer (the other time being a June reception at another venue nearby).   (more…)

Josh and Annie tied the knot — literally — at The Red Mill Inn in Baldwinsville. Yes, literally — turns out, there’s an interesting story behind the phrase, “tie the knot.” And it has a bit of a connection to the place where Josh asked Annie for her hand in marriage. (more…)

I was thrilled when I first heard from Mallory and Jason, because their wedding plans would bring me back to my alma mater, SUNY Oswego.  Specifically, they chose to host their ceremony and reception in the barn at the college’s Fallbrook Recreation Center, a few miles away from the main campus.  What a beautiful place to host a wedding! Martha and Tom live in Washington, DC, but Martha grew up in New Hartford, near Utica, so they decided to come back to CNY for their wedding.  The ceremony was held at a private residence, friends of Martha’s family, in a rural area north of Utica.  Despite a little rain, it turned out to be a great evening! Back to blogging — finally!  It’s been a busy summer.  For this wedding, it’s a road trip southeast of Syracuse to the charming village of Hamilton, in Madison County.  Actually, I didn’t even see the village for Nicole and Paul’s wedding reception — for this wonderful late June evening, friends and family converged on the White Eagle Conference Center, a few miles outside of the village.  And you’ll see in this post, this wedding reception was unique in more ways than one. Hello, blog readers! It’s been awhile, hasn’t it? It’s been a very busy wedding season — not that I’m complaining! But I’m glad I’m finally catching up on some blogging. Back on the first of June, I had the pleasure of playing Dana and Stephen’s wedding reception at the beautiful Sherwood Inn on Skaneateles Lake. Catching up on the first few weeks of “Wedding Season 2013,” my second wedding of the year takes me out to the Utica area, New York Mills to be exact.  Sabrina and James held their reception at Twin Ponds Golf and Country Club.  Although it was cold and rainy outside, the weather was of little concern inside as we partied the evening away!
