The rolling hills between Ithaca and Elmira... fall colors in the distance... a perfect backdrop for an amazing outdoor ceremony and indoor reception for Marjorie and Gretchen! Rain earlier in the day almost forced everything indoors, but the ceremony's late-afternoon start provided perfect timing for the sunshine to dry everything out enough to stay with the original plans.
Fall is a great season to host a wedding in Central New York... it's not too hot, it's not too cold, and the changing colors of the leaves make for a spectacular backdrop. The only unknown is the weather, but that wasn't a problem for Melissa and Ryan. A few clouds were no problem at all, on a beautiful wedding day that was sandwiched between two rainy days.
April and Brendan selected the first day of fall, September 22, 2012, to be the first day of their marriage. And what a great day, with fall-themed decor inside the Holiday Inn... in the heart of Ithaca, where the leaves were just starting to change color around the city's famous picturesque gorges and Cayuga Lake.
Peter Naughton Productions is on the road! A request to play Meghan and Marc's wedding reception took us on a road trip from Syracuse, downstate to the mid-Hudson Valley. You couldn't have asked for a more beautiful weekend to have a wedding -- plenty of sunshine during the day and plenty of dancing into the night!
Having known Rob since high school, I was thrilled and honored when he and Bridget contacted me to DJ their reception. They're an awesome couple with great families and friends... and it was a blast to return to my old hometown, as the reception was held at The Beeches in Rome.
If you've been browsing my event photo posts, the first few shots from Rob and Shannon's wedding might look familiar -- I was the DJ for another wedding at Borio's Restaurant along Oneida Lake in Cicero just two weeks earlier. Once again, we were lucky to have perfect weather conditions for the ceremony outside, followed by a great party inside.
It was both an honor and a pleasure to be asked if I could provide the music and announcements for the Syracuse 2012 Walk MS, to benefit the Upstate New York Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The beautiful weather brought thousands to Long Branch Park in Liverpool, and you'll see in the photos... a popular Syracuse TV personality even made an appearance!
This is the first of two weddings I'm playing at Borio's Lakeside in Cicero this month alone. What a beautiful venue! Right on the shore of Oneida Lake... and a wonderful day. Originally, the forecast had called for a chance of rain, but we lucked out with sunny skies and comfortable temperatures for an outdoor ceremony, followed by an indoor reception.
Now that winter is (hopefully) finished, my calendar is pretty busy over the next several weeks! Following the success of an open house in December, I was honored to be asked back to the Children's Consortium in Syracuse to DJ their Family Fun Fair. Although it was chilly for late April, it was sunny and dry, and we had plenty of fun!
A couple years ago, I did a video voiceover for the Children's Consortium of Syracuse, and they asked me back to DJ their holiday open house. It was a little over two hours of Christmas tunes, designed to appeal to both the kids and the parents in attendance.
