Jessica and Aaron at Hayloft on the Arch, Vernon Center, 9/13/25

As I continue to catch-up with blogging my Fall 2025 weddings, Jessica and Aaron’s wedding brings me back to Hayloft on the Arch in Vernon Center. This was my second wedding DJ “gig” at this rustic Oneida County venue, but it was considerably different from my first visit! I’ll explain in this post… along with the usual photos and song choices!

So my first wedding DJ engagement at Hayloft on the Arch was four years ago; one of the many 2020 weddings that got postponed into 2021 due to the pandemic. For that wedding, the ceremony was held on the patio directly behind the barn.

For Aaron and Jessica’s wedding, the ceremony took place in front of a beautiful old chapel, located about 500 feet (per Google Maps) behind the barn. Unfortunately, I left my camera back at the barn and didn’t have a chance to fetch it before the ceremony so I didn’t get any shots there, Update: I realized I took some photos of the ceremony site on my phone! They’re now part of the mini-gallery above.

After the ceremony, I zipped right back to the barn, where my other sound system was located, to start the cocktail hour music. It was playing both inside the barn and outside, via wireless speakers, by the time the guests completed their walk across the field.

Once that was set, I headed back to the ceremony area to tear down that sound system. That was done and I was back at the main setup in the barn with plenty of time to spare before it was time to introduce the wedding party.

Hayloft on the Arch Wedding DJ Photo Highlights

Although I didn’t have a chance to get any photos from the ceremony, you’ll see we more than made up for it on the dance floor! Jessica and Aaron had a great crowd to surround them and celebrate their wedding.

To help add to the party atmosphere, they provided a bunch of those light-up foam sticks for everyone to add more color to the dance floor. And at some point, someone even whipped out a bubble machine! You might catch some bubbles floating around in one or two photos.

And here’s a clip from the dancing that I posted on TikTok…

Here’s the 5-star review Aaron and Jessica wrote afterwards:

Peter was the perfect DJ! He was professional, responsive, and covered all bases for the wedding. He allows you to control as much or as little as you like when it comes to music selection for the entire evening with his comprehensive form. His sound setup was fantastic as well, the sound was great through the entire night and we were most impressed by how he mic’d up the entire ceremony which was outside. The entire audience raved how the sound quality of the ceremony was perfect, for the officiant and us the couple, when so many other weddings seem to have issues with this. He handled everything perfectly throughout the day and hardly had any questions for us during the wedding, could not recommend more!

Thank you, Aaron and Jessica, for taking the time to share your experience… I appreciate it and I’m thrilled to know you were so pleased with everything. I had a great time helping you celebrate, and I wish you all the best for many years of love and happiness together!

I also want to thank venue owner Alisha, she’s great to work with, and a shout out to Chris from The Story Photography! When he gets his photos posted, I know they’ll be many times better than mine… so keep an eye on his socials!
