Central New York Wedding DJ

Wedding #2 for the 2021 wedding season is in the books! I’m so glad Katie and Brett finally had their chance to say the vows and celebrate the next big chapter in their lives, even if world events delayed the plans by nearly a year. But the wait was well worth it, as guests enjoyed partying the night away at Traditions at the Links in East Syracuse.

IT’S SO GREAT TO BE BACK! Back to weddings, weddings with dance floors, back to Skaneateles, back to The Sherwood Inn! Can you tell I’m happy?? After just one wedding during the insanely crazy 2020, it was soooo nice to finally kick off my 2021 wedding season. Check out the photos and song choices in this post!

Of all my 2020 wedding DJ bookings, most still haven’t happened yet! When the pandemic forced most couples to delay their 2020 weddings into 2021, Joe and Lauren kept their October date with the Craftsman Inn and Suites in Fayetteville. Thankfully, we were no longer under “lockdown” by this point, but significant restrictions were still in place.

My final wedding of 2019 brought me to a venue that’s not just “new to me” but new to many — The Cannery in Vernon. Molly and Frank put together a very well-appointed ceremony and reception which fit nicely into the weekend between Christmas and New Year’s.

When her mom first contacted me about this event, I learned Ke’haulani (“KK” for short) and Zachary have already married for about a year. But, living in Alaska, it was easier to have the two of them come “back home” to Central New York rather than having all the guests head northwest. So, we did an entire wedding celebration — ceremony included — at one of the Utica area’s most popular venues, Hart’s Hill Inn.

Sarah and Andy’s wedding reception brought me back to a venue I haven’t seen in a few years: Daniele at Valley View in Utica. It’s always nice to see what’s new and different in the city where I got my start as a radio DJ years ago. There was one change in Utica which took me completely by surprise — I’ll explain in today’s blog post. And as usual, some photos from the DJ booth and the happy couple’s selections for the key moments of the night.

“Owego? Don’t you mean Oswego, with an S? You know, the one only 45 minutes from Syracuse?” Nope! Not a typo — Leigh and Kyle’s wedding took me down to Owego. Yep, the one without an S, located a little ways west of Binghamton. But I didn’t hesitate whatsoever when the familiar couple asked if I could DJ their wedding at this picturesque venue situated along the Susquehanna River. My latest wedding brought me back to the historic Marriott Syracuse Downtown — still known to many by its original name, Hotel Syracuse. Out of the hotel’s three ballrooms, Erin and Tim booked the Persian Terrace for their wedding ceremony and reception. It was a memorable, fun-filled evening — check out the photos, video and more in today’s blog post!

Jessie and Matt’s wedding ceremony and reception was definitely a memorable one. A unique venue, a close (but averted!) brush with disaster, and most of all, an awesome couple surrounded by an incredible crowd of fun-loving relatives and friends!

Breathtaking! If I had to describe the Grand Ballroom on the 10th floor of the Marriott Syracuse Downtown in one word, that would be it. Even moreso with uplighting, and an awesome dance floor crowd!
