Despite 2021 being a somewhat “abbreviated” wedding season, I managed to DJ at one venue twice: Traditions at the Links in East Syracuse! And it was especially nice to be here for Karen and Vince’s reception as my wife and I have personally known them for years. Check out the photos, song picks and more in today’s blog post!

After 2020 was the year where everyone had to stay apart, I’m grateful that this second half of 2021 has allowed everyone to get back together. It was awesome to see some familiar faces at Jessica and Alex’s wedding reception at the Tailwater Lodge in Altmar — including two couples who had me DJ their weddings over the past several years!

When it comes to weddings, some say fall is the “new summer.” Can’t argue that point, as October was my busiest month for the 2021 wedding season! Kayla and Bryant’s reception at Turning Stone Resort Casino was the first of three consecutive wedding weekends on my calendar.

Angela and Aaron’s 50s-themed wedding brought me back to the historic Lincklaen House in the charming village of Cazenovia! The weather almost forced some drastic last-minute changes, but some extremely good luck saved the day. Find out what happened and check out the song choices and photos in this blog post.

Are you annoyed when people show up late for a wedding? Well, this time, it was both acceptable and planned — everyone showed up exactly one year late for Karina and Eric’s wedding at the picturesque Hayloft on the Arch in Vernon Center. After the pandemic forced Kiarra and Chris to postpone their wedding reception for 14 months — and find a new venue in the process — family and friends finally had the chance to celebrate at Camp Brockway, a rustic venue tucked away in its own little section of Pratt’s Falls County Park, just a few miles south of Manlius.

Wedding #2 for the 2021 wedding season is in the books! I’m so glad Katie and Brett finally had their chance to say the vows and celebrate the next big chapter in their lives, even if world events delayed the plans by nearly a year. But the wait was well worth it, as guests enjoyed partying the night away at Traditions at the Links in East Syracuse.

IT’S SO GREAT TO BE BACK! Back to weddings, weddings with dance floors, back to Skaneateles, back to The Sherwood Inn! Can you tell I’m happy?? Of all my 2020 wedding DJ bookings, most still haven’t happened yet! When the pandemic forced most couples to delay their 2020 weddings into 2021, Joe and Lauren kept their October date with the Craftsman Inn and Suites in Fayetteville. Thankfully, we were no longer under “lockdown” by this point, but significant restrictions were still in place.

My final wedding of 2019 brought me to a venue that’s not just “new to me” but new to many — The Cannery in Vernon. Molly and Frank put together a very well-appointed ceremony and reception which fit nicely into the weekend between Christmas and New Year’s.
