Central New York Wedding DJ

Nope, you’re not seeing double — my third wedding of 2019 just so happened to bring me back to the same venue as my first one — the Craftsman Inn and Suites in Fayetteville. May and Kevin’s wedding was similar in some ways to Stacy and Alex’s, but different in other ways. Keep reading and I’ll explain!

You couldn’t have asked for a better day to have a wedding in the charming Village of Cazenovia, situated alongside the lake of the same name. Although I’ve done several weddings at the historic Lincklaen House, Alexandra and Mark’s had a few new twists — keep reading for the details!

Stacey and Alex’s wedding was not only my first wedding for 2019, but my very first at the Craftsman Inn in Fayetteville. (Considering it’s one of the closest venues to my house, I’m surprised I hadn’t been booked here sooner!) The entire venue recently underwent a massive renovation and it looks wonderful. My final wedding of the 2018 wedding season holds the all-time record for “latest wedding in the year.”  After all, there isn’t much room to go later than December 29!  The season wrapped up at a familiar venue — Tailwater Lodge in Altmar — with a familar couple.  Bride Irene is the sister of Martin, whose wedding I DJ’ed in 2016 (where Irene was a bridesmaid).  It’s always great to see some of the same guests again and this crowd had a great time!  Check out the photos and more in this blog post. My wedding season hasn’t reached into November since 2014, but this year I had two! (And they weren’t the last ones, either!)  Sharon and Stephen’s wedding brought me back to a familiar venue, Traditions at the Links in East Syracuse.  This was a fun wedding with an amazing crowd… check out the photos and more in this blog post. Throughout my wedding DJ career, I’ve kept a list of “unofficial records” in my head.  Earliest and latest wedding dates. (January 14th and December 28th, if you’re wondering.) Longest drive (east of Binghamton). Things like that.  Bethany and Brian’s wedding at Highland Forest park’s Skyline Lodge probably sets the record for earliest wedding to date.  I arrived shortly after 9:00am to set-up for a 10:30 start.  The setup was a little different than my previous weddings here — find out why in today’s blog post! Growing up in Rome and starting my broadcasting career in Utica, I’ve heard about Beardslee Castle many times, but never had a chance to visit.  That changed this year, thanks to Megan and Jimmy booking me as their wedding DJ!  They picked a beautiful fall day to get married on the castle’s front lawn, followed by dinner and dancing inside. One venue getting a lot of buzz recently is the Tailwater Lodge in Altmar, which opened just a few years ago. Located along the Salmon River, it’s a favorite spot for anglers, but it’s also a well-appointed venue for weddings.  Emily and Nicholas’ wedding was not only my first wedding ever at this venue, but my first of two booked for 2018.  Check out photos and more in today’s blog post!
