Wedding DJ Uplighting

While I haven’t actually sat down to count it, Wolf Oak Acres is probably the venue where I’ve DJ’ed the most weddings so far.  If not, it’s gotta be pretty close to the top!  Tiffany and Matt were my second out of three 2018 weddings at this Madison County venue, just a few miles outside of Oneida. Chris and Ashley’s wedding was one of the first (if not the first) to take place at Lake Shore Yacht & Country Club following some major renovations.  As this was my first wedding at this venue, I’ve nothing to compare it to, but the new look is wonderful.  Check out the photos and music selections inside this blog post. Phew!  What a busy June it has been… four weddings in four weekends!  July will be a bit calmer, so it’s time to catch up with the blog.  The first of those four June weddings brought me back to Wolf Oak Acres, where Kimberly and Giovanni’s pondside ceremony was followed by a reception in the venue’s 8,000 square foot barn.  Read on for details, photos and song selections. Now that July is almost over, I’ve realized all of my July weddings have something in common.  They’re all familiar venues I’ve DJ’ed in the past!  Stephanie and Christopher’s reception brought me back to the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn for the first time since 2015.   A great couple, wonderful crowd — we even extended the party by a full hour!  Photos, song selections, a video and more in this blog post. Had an absolute blast playing Arthur and Evan’s wedding this past weekend in the Persian Terrace ballroom at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown.  Not only was the wedding lots of fun, but it crossed-off two big items from my “never have I ever” list as a wedding DJ.  Check out the full post to find out what was unique about this wedding, see some photos, and which songs the pair selected for the key moments of their special day!

There’s nothing like a good summertime outdoor wedding, but the weather doesn’t always cooperate.  That’s when it pays-off to have backup plans!  Although rain prevented Kelly and Sal from saying “I do” outdoors at Wolf Oak Acres in Oneida, solid backup plans allowed the ceremony and reception to take place indoors without a hitch.  Guests who weren’t aware of the original plans probably assumed the ceremony was going to be indoors all along. After a few weddings followed by some time traveling with family, it was exciting to resume the 2016 wedding season with Clare and James at the Cross Lake Inn and Marina in Cato. We couldn’t have asked for better weather for a reception that featured the bride, groom and the entire wedding party arriving by boat! Even after years in the DJ business, Laura and Daniel’s wedding day managed to present some exciting “firsts” for me.  Although I’ve often DJ’ed a reception/ceremony combo, this was the first time I did them at two separate venues.  There was also an exciting “first” during the ceremony, and as well as the debut of something new for the reception that I’ll be offering for future events.  Keep reading for details and photos!
