My second wedding of 2024 brought me up to a “new to me” venue, The Manor House in Pierrepont Manor. Jordan and Paul picked an incredible spot to get married, and a great group of people to help them celebrate! Keep reading for song picks, photos and more.
If you’re not familiar with Pierrepont Manor, you’ll find it along I-81 between Syracuse and Watertown. More specifically, it was just under an hour away from my home east of Syracuse, and it’s 25 minutes south of Watertown. The Manor House is literally less than 3 minutes off the exit. Venue manager Carl told me the current owners just purchased it about 2½ years ago, and most of their couples so far have been from the Syracuse area.
The wonderfully-appointed namesake Manor House sits next to an equally-beautiful landscaped area that includes stone walkways through a garden, leading back to the area where Jordan and Paul had their ceremony.
For this wedding, I needed two sound systems: one indoors for the reception, and one outdoors for the ceremony. With the skies looking a bit gray when I first arrived, I set-up my compact outdoor system under the large covered porch. Even though it was considerably far from the ceremony area, wireless technology is our friend! My newish wireless speakers (one last year, the second this year) performed beautifully, as did the wireless mic that I provided for the officiant. Here’s how the two setups looked… click for a closer look and keep scrolling for more photos!
At the end of the night, photographer Tyler Kellogg arranged some “sparkler exit” photos. Once that was over and guests started heading for the parking lot, Paul and Jordan returned to the ballroom to enjoy their own final dance song in private.
As always, a reminder, I’m the DJ, not the photographer — so these may not be perfect shots, but I try to get at least a little sample of the key moments and everyone enjoying the party. Click on any photo for a larger version.
And here’s a preview of the fine work by Jordan and Paul’s professional photographer, The Art of Tyler:
I always love it when couples post reviews about my services, so it was a thrill to see Jordan and Paul’s reviews on Facebook and Google before I even had a chance to write this blog post!
Here’s the Facebook review:
Peter was our DJ this past weekend at our wedding. He was so easy to work with. His setup was great and the venue was impressed. He matched the vibes and kept the party going. His cocktail hour music was perfect and all of the guests loved it. I highly recommend booking with him or at least schedule a meeting. We have no regrets.
And here’s the Google review:
We used Peter for our wedding on 6/8. He was so easy to work with and accommodated last minute changes. Our serving staff said he was the most impressive DJ they have worked with.
The lighting was great, sound was of great quality, and he was professional. It was touches like changing into a suit to match the “vibe”, leaving the ballroom to allow us to have a final last dance, and playing the best “Bridgerton” like songs during cocktail hour.
If you are looking for a DJ please at least book a call with him. If you have social anxiety like us just know he has a great website with a payment portal and a form to answer all of your preferences.
Thank you so much for the kind words, Jordan and Paul! I’m so glad you were happy with the way everything turned out… and I had a blast playing this wedding. Great group of people. I wish you both many years of love and happiness together, and thanks again for choosing me as your DJ!
