My latest wedding brought me back to the historic Marriott Syracuse Downtown — still known to many by its original name, Hotel Syracuse. Out of the hotel’s three ballrooms, Erin and Tim booked the Persian Terrace for their wedding ceremony and reception. Breathtaking! If I had to describe the Grand Ballroom on the 10th floor of the Marriott Syracuse Downtown in one word, that would be it. Even moreso with uplighting, and an awesome dance floor crowd! Bianca and Garrett’s wedding will definitely stick out in my memory! The ceremony was unique and we had a great dance floor crowd during the reception. But… admittedly, I was afraid it was going to be difficult to get people dancing. I’ll explain in today’s blog post. Stacey and Alex’s wedding was not only my first wedding for 2019, but my very first at the Craftsman Inn in Fayetteville. (Considering it’s one of the closest venues to my house, I’m surprised I hadn’t been booked here sooner!) The entire venue recently underwent a massive renovation and it looks wonderful. My final wedding of the 2018 wedding season holds the all-time record for “latest wedding in the year.” After all, there isn’t much room to go later than December 29! The season wrapped up at a familiar venue — Tailwater Lodge in Altmar — with a familar couple. Bride Irene is the sister of Martin, whose wedding I DJ’ed in 2016 (where Irene was a bridesmaid).
